About The Event
Currently we see several kinds of simulation and extended reality (XR) solutions in innovation and even implementation stages in defense, manufacturing, and others. Something that used to be only accessed by scientists and engineers can now be a tool leveraged at the tactical, end user level: simulation and extended reality solutions. XR is the practical pathway to accessing simulation that makes the most sense, given the immersive nature of headset-based solutions for everything from design to situational awareness to training.
This video podcast will explore topics related to:
- Defining the Extended Reality environment with examples of Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Virtual Reality (VR).
- Explore current use cases in the main-stream and cutting edge technologies for both civilian and military / law enforcement applications.
- Where XR is headed in the short and possibly long-term and how that will shape the future of training.
- How XR is linked to AI and its ethical implications.
