About Stephen Day:

Steve has a very unique private and public sector career and is a nationally-recognized security, risk management and crisis response executive. He founded Reticle Ventures Canada Incorporated in 2013, a boutique risk consultancy and premium security security services provider. He spent over 20 years as a Regular Force officer within the Canadian Army and Special Operations Forces. He currently serves at the rank of Colonel in the Army Reserves.

He has held various executive, management and specialist assignments both within Canada and internationally. He is one of a very select group of Canadian military and private sector leaders to have executed multiple projects spanning the entire spectrum of conflict. This breadth of experience has provided him with a depth and richness of nuanced leadership perspectives when advising and managing security risks.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree, a Master of Defence Studies and a Master of Strategic Studies. He lives with his wife and daughter in Kingston, Ontario.

This talk will explore the strengths and weaknesses of the characteristics developed with military service, and how they transcend into life as a civilan.
